Minimum term just 7 days
No long term contracts.
Our minimum term is just 7 days. After your initial week in storage, you are free to vacate your unit when you wish. We only ask that you leave your self storage unit in the condition you found it in when you leave.
Moving out of your storage unit
You are free to leave at any point after your first 7 days in storage. While we have some customers that have been with us for over 10 years, we appreciate everyone is different and some only need our space for a week or two. Whilst we will be sad to see you go simply empty your room and either pop into reception, or give us a call to let us know your room is now empty as we require no advanced notice to vacate. Deposits are returned within 3 business days of vacating and notifying us your room is now empty.
Free 24 hour access
All our clients get free 24/7 access to their units 365 days a year for FREE. Simple. Other companies charge a premium for this. You won’t have to book an appointment, just access your goods at any time of day.
How to get started
Find a unit that fits – we will show you the unit in person during your check-in. You can upsize or downsize during your check-in and even while you are in store.
Make a reservation – online or over the phone, let us know you need space! Once you have made your reservation you can book your ‘check-in’ Check-in – just like checking into a hotel.
Just bring your ID. You can start using your storage space immediately after check-in is completed or check-in up-to 7 days before you want to move your goods into storage.
Premier self storage security
Each and every one of our self-storage units is individually alarmed. Over 600 units. Our security systems also log each time a unit is accessed. This has proven especially useful for businesses who have to keep track of who accessed what and when. We also have full 24/7 CCTV with night vision across the facility and grounds. We protect your goods like our lives depends on it. The Premier Self Storage facility also features motion-sensitive light. The sophisticated system is monitored 24/7 for added security and peace of mind.
We have over 600 individual units at our facility in burton-on-trent and over 20 differing sizes, we have great availability. If your preferred choice is not available on the day we usually offer the next size up at no extra cost or at a discount.
All units are 8ft in height minimum, actual unit dimensions may vary by width and length, it’s always best to view your unit in person during your appointment.
There is a refundable deposit taken for each unit this is equal to 4 weeks rent excluding VAT. This is returned to you once you have vacated your unit providing there is no damage to the ceilings or the unit itself.
Insurance cover is available from £0.50/wk per £1000 of cover. Many clients take additional cover to give them greater peace of mind, our team will be happy to set this up for you. In total this minimum cover adds just £2 to your 4 weekly payments.
It’s crucial that while using our storage facilities, you refrain from storing any food items or flammable materials in your unit.
Fridges
Before bringing refrigerators or freezers into the facility, please ensure that the interior is completely dry. As an extra measure, we strongly recommend wiping the insides with a Milton solution or a suitable alternative steriliser to keep bacteria at bay. We also strongly suggest keeping the doors slightly ajar to maintain ventilation.
Washing Machines
We strongly advise using a towel to thoroughly dry the internal seal, which is prone to retaining water. Neglecting this could result in the seal rotting over time, leading to additional costs when you eventually vacate your unit. Also, please make sure to remove any water pipes from the washing machine and drain any remaining water thoroughly.
Boxes
For easier access to your stored boxes, we recommend labelling both the tops and sides. This allows you to identify the contents of each box without having to unstack them.
