F.A.Q. Storing with Premier
We have over 600 individual units at our facility in burton-on-trent and over 20 differing sizes, we have great availability. If your preferred choice is not available on the day we usually offer the next size up at no extra cost or at a discount.
All units are 8ft in height minimum, actual unit dimensions may vary by width and length, it's always best to view your unit in person during your appointment.
There is a refundable deposit taken for each unit this is equal to 4 weeks rent excluding VAT. This is returned to you once you have vacated your unit providing there is no damage to the ceilings or the unit itself.
Insurance cover is available from £0.50/wk per £1000 of cover. Many clients take additional cover to give them greater peace of mind, our team will be happy to set this up for you. In total this minimum cover adds just £2 to your 4 weekly payments.
It's crucial that while using our storage facilities, you refrain from storing any food items or flammable materials in your unit.
Fridges
Before bringing refrigerators or freezers into the facility, please ensure that the interior is completely dry. As an extra measure, we strongly recommend wiping the insides with a Milton solution or a suitable alternative steriliser to keep bacteria at bay. We also strongly suggest keeping the doors slightly ajar to maintain ventilation.
Washing Machines
We strongly advise using a towel to thoroughly dry the internal seal, which is prone to retaining water. Neglecting this could result in the seal rotting over time, leading to additional costs when you eventually vacate your unit. Also, please make sure to remove any water pipes from the washing machine and drain any remaining water thoroughly.
Boxes
For easier access to your stored boxes, we recommend labelling both the tops and sides. This allows you to identify the contents of each box without having to unstack them.

Our minimum term is just 7 days. After your initial week in storage, you are free to vacate your unit when you wish. We only ask that you leave your self storage unit in the condition you found it in when you leave.

How to get started
Moving out of your storage unit
You’re welcome to vacate your storage unit after your initial 7-day period. We have long-term customers who’ve been with us for a decade, but we understand that everyone’s needs are different—some may only require our facilities for a week or two. Should you decide to leave, simply empty your unit and either visit our reception or give us a call to inform us it’s vacated; no advance notice is needed. Your deposit will be returned within seven days after you’ve notified us that your unit is empty.
